DRAFT — REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Prepared October 20, 2026. Not an approved commercial agreement or a claim of legal compliance.
Test subscriptions and cancellation
Billing is test-only. Cancellation can be scheduled for period end; paid access remains until the recorded entitlement expires. For past_due/unpaid subscriptions, current settings allow seven days after the recorded period end (or updated timestamp if no end exists), not necessarily seven days after a decline. Initial incomplete payment does not grant paid access. Plan changes use Stripe prorations. Once paid entitlement lapses, the account returns to Free and projects remain, including above the Free limit; creating additional projects is blocked at that limit. No subscription refund workflow or automatic refund is promised. [REVIEW L12: approve refund eligibility, timing, taxes, fees, statutory rights and support process.]
Failed domain orders
Registration requires a matching paid test checkout and consent before submission. A timeout is not proof of failure: uncertain outcomes require registrar/payment investigation, never blind resubmission or refund. An administrator can explicitly authorise a test refund only for a failed order with a provider ID, final failed registrar status and verified original payment. The request uses a per-order Stripe idempotency key and refunds the recorded registration total. It is not automatic; pending or uncertain refund results require reconciliation. [UNVERIFIED L13: failed-order refund execution and domain webhook races remain end-to-end release blockers; no live automatic refunds exist.]
Future hosting cancellation — not implemented
[PROPOSED L11: service to paid period end; seven-day failed-payment grace; then offline, not deleted, retained for 60 days with an export offered. Deletion requires explicit owner approval and legal review; 60 days never authorises automatic deletion. These hosting controls are not built. Studio drafts remain retained separately.]
